Peter, un joven alemán, ingresa a un restaurante del suburbio de Buenos Aires; buscando sólo indicaciones, termina accidentalmente con un plato que le golpea en la cabeza, arrojado por la irritable Olinda, la inmigrante italiana de 60 años propietaria del restaurante. Los dos desarrollan una amistad una vez que descubren que las razones por las que se mudaron a Argentina son sorprendentemente similares.
